Sometimes, making lifestyle changes can be super intimidating. Especially if it's foreign to what you're used to before, it can be easy to get overwhelmed.
Well low waste cleaning is not going to be one of those tough lifestyle changes for you! Here's a compiled list of some of my favorite law waste cleaning tips...
Use old tee-shirts to cut up and use as rags
Baking soda is going to be your holy grail (buy in bulk!)
Keep a few old toothbrushes to use for tough scrubbing projects
Use steel wool or wooden brushes for hard scrubbing/dishes
Essential oils are great for cleansing the air (check out my favorite blends for a clean home here!)
Using lemon juice or an actual lemon will REALLY clean the metal or aluminum in kitchens
Lemons are also great for cleaning cutting boards
Use soap nuts to wash your clothes
Newer washing machines typically have an "eco" setting that uses less water!
Invest in using a bagless vacuum
Put orange peels in vinegar and let steep for a few days to use a fabric softener (check out some other DIY products here!)
Fill pouches with nice smelling herbs to keep in your dresser or hang in your closet
Olive oil works as a great polisher, especially wood items
Be conscious of how much water you use when washing hands or hand-washing dishes!
Ue eco friendly setting on newer dishwashers (dishwashers are actually much better on water usage than hand washing!)
